My healing journey began over 12 years ago after my dad lost his battle with lung cancer, but I have always considered myself an empath.
Before becoming a Reiki Practitioner, I have worked as a volunteer in other caring roles including training as a Befriender with the charity Scope to provide support and companionship to lonely and emotionally distressed people; working in the classroom with children with additional needs at local junior and infant schools. I was also a Governor at a junior school for several years where I was a member of the Safeguarding Committee.
After losing my Dad, Reiki helped me personally through the grieving process, it also helped me with depression, stress, and anxiety. As a Mom of two young adults, life has presented me with many challenges including bringing up children with Asperger’s Syndrome; mental health issues; anxiety; sleep issues and challenging behaviour.
I truly believe that these challenges have been lessons that I was required to learn to be able to help others improve their overall health and wellbeing. I appreciate that everybody is different, and I am happy to adapt the session to meet your needs and preferences. I have a sensory box with a selection of sensory toys and a weighted blanket for anybody who would find these helpful as well as a Social Story here on the website to help guide you or your loved one through what they need to know in readiness for their treatment.

René Mey volunteer
In December 2022 I became a René Mey Volunteer. This involved learning René Mey’s Emotional Medicine Techniques, which can bring relief to physical and emotional problems, diseases, chronic conditions and so much more…these treatments are free worldwide.
René Mey was born on 30th September 1959 in a small town in the south of France and dedicates his life to humanitarian work. He developed different emotional therapy techniques to help people to heal and started the first free Humanitarian Centres, training the first volunteers, some of whom later trained as Instructors.
The Foundation is based in Mexico but the techniques are present in over 60 countries worldwide. René has received more than 50 international awards and recognitions for his humanitarian work in many countries that he has visited and helped and many press articles have recognized his work and his contribution to all communities.
His vision is to be an organization accessible to ALL people around the world who require humanitarian care as well as comprehensive health services. Please see the attached video to see a preview of the René Mey Hospital currently being built in Mexico. Here allopathic (modern) medicine will work together with emotional therapy techniques.
Volunteers share René’s philosophy of virtues about compassion, non-judgment, giving without expecting something in return, and getting into introspection and meditation to evolve. We will be organising free events during 2023 and I will provide updates as and when the details are available.
If you would be interested in becoming a Volunteer, Master Instructor Giorgio Ausani will be returning to Birmingham on Saturday 25th February to deliver a Healing Workshop of Techniques based on René Mey’s Emotional Medicine.
